Each September, the Iredell County Fairgrounds holds a fair for the community. Member churches serve the traveling fair workers by giving toiletry items, haircuts, laundry assistance and serve free meals. Volunteers show God’s love by serving food and sharing the Gospel message with fair workers around the tables.

Serve
SYBA church members may volunteer to serve behind-the-scenes or with fair workers. Volunteers can collect hygiene items, assemble toiletry bags and encourage others to donate during the summer months.
Volunteers can serve on-site in September several ways: give haircuts, donate meals, clean tables, transport items from SYBA offices and talk with workers.
Give
Any individual, church or business can donate to the Fair Ministry. Church groups can sign-up to provide all of one item for all workers. Donations may be financial or tangible.
Here are suggestions of items you can donate:
Hygiene: shampoo, body wash, washcloths, deodorant, shaving gel, razor, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, hand sanitizer, Kleenex
Toiletry: laundry detergent pods 11-12 oz size packages (no liquids), fabric softener sheets 30 – 50 in a box, quarters
