How many hungry families
can you help
with a bag of groceries?
SYBA operates two Food Pantries each week to serve families in crisis in the local community.
Individuals who shop the Food Pantry are given the opportunity to select their own food and hygiene products from the shelves. Volunteers then pack their food selections and carry to their vehicles. Everyone who shops hears the Gospel message, words of encouragement and is shown love and acceptance.
Anyone who needs help may request an appointment by calling Mary Jane Hoover at 704-873-4372, ext. 3.
Locations
3009 Amity Hill Road, Statesville – Open by Appointment during COVID-19
1431 Front Street, Statesville – Open by Appointment during COVID-19
Serve
SYBA church members may volunteer in the Food Pantry to serve families who shop, stock food, clean shelves, make hygiene bags and schedule appointments. Volunteer opportunities also available for people who feel called to share the Gospel message and pray with families.
Volunteers may serve at both locations and as ambassadors in their church to share stories of people being helped and lives being changed. The need is great in our community. Call Mary Jane to find out opportunities that best suit your skills and interests.
